Offense stays strong on the road

TR South 16, Central 4: The Indians rolled to this non-divisional victory at Al Kunzman Field in Bayville behind the pitching of Marc Potter and the bats of Joe Talerico & Jake DelVento.

Talerico was three for three with four runs scored, three stolen bases and one RBI. DelVento smacked two singles, drove in three runs and scored three to propel South (3-1) to victory. Potter benefitted from strong defense as the Indians turned three bases-loaded double plays. First year varsity players Dan Davis, John Coppinger and Vinny Vivona each got their first varsity hit in the game. Vivona's - was a three run homer to right field.
