Sweep DH Scrimmage
Toms River South 8, Ferris 1: The Indians defeated the Bulldogs as senior Joe Patterson stayed hot with two hits, including an RBI double. Sophomores Mitch Dressing added a double and sophomore Kyle Perry contributed a triple as well.
Senior righty Marco Carballo pitched two scoreless innings in the start to get the win while Jarid Putman, Kevin Knowles and Kyle Fox pitched scoreless relief.
Toms River South 13, St. Peter's Prep 3: The Indians overcame a 3-0 deficit sparked by a two-run double by senior Joe Tagliavia, who tied up the game in the fourth. In the fifth, South batted around to compile 7 runs and make it 10-3. Senior Kevin Gilmore keyed the inning with a boomingGrand Slam homer into the trees in left field at Ken Frank Baseball Stadium. Sophomore Connor Kaden pitched well in relief as juniors Rich Gabriel and Kevin Driscoll combined to close out the win.
