Not the way to finish the week...

Brick Memorial 6, TR South 4: The Indians couldn't hold first a 3-1 and then 4-3 lead as they fell to the Mustangs (8-7) for the second time this season.

With the loss South falls to 11-5 and 6-5 in A South.

Freshman Drew Holt took the loss in relief to fall to 0-1 as he allowed an inherited runner to score to tie the game and then allowed two more runs in the fourth inning. Senior lefthander Anthony Amatucci had started the game going the first three innings.

After falling behind 1-0, the Indians rallied with three runs on infield hits. Key offensive players included Rick Petrosino, Tom Whartnaby, Evan Bigler and John Martone.

South, however, could not hold the lead.

The Indians did try to rally late as freshman Chase Gray hit line drives in both the 6th and 7th inning - which were caught with men on. In the seventh, South had 2nd and 3rd occupied when Gray drilled one into the glove of the Memorial shortstop.

The Indians travel across town on Monday night for a 7:30 p.m. showdown with TR North.
